The Post Graduate Entrance Exam (PGEE) is a computer-based examination conducted by IIITH. The exam will be held in multiple centres across many cities (List of Centers) .
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Design / Science or equivalent (4-year program after 10+2 years) of education (or) Master’s degree in Science / Computer Applications (2-year program after 10+2+3 years) of education with a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade
- At least one year industry/Internship experience in Product Development is required.
Important Dates:
- PGEE Exam Date: 4th May, 2024 (2.00 PM to 5.00 PM)
- PDM applicants should write PGEE - CSE exam. For syllabus, please click here
- SAARC country nationals are eligible for PGEE and will be treated on par with Indian nationals.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into the Masters Program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Design / Science or equivalent (4-year program after 10+2 years) of education (or) Master’s degree in Science / Computer Applications (2-year program after 10+2+3 years) of education with a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade
- Applicants must have qualified GATE score. They may submit the score from either of the years (2024, 2023).
- At least one year industry/Internship experience in Product Development is required.

The Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) exam conducted by IIT Bombay is a qualifying examination for admissions into Masters and Ph.D programs in design across India's premier institutes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Design / Science or equivalent (4-year program after 10+2 years) of education (or) Master’s degree in Science / Computer Applications (2-year program after 10+2+3 years) of education with a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade
- Applicants must have (CEED 2024) score
- At least one year industry/Internship experience in Product Development is required.

Startup founders or professionals with a startup idea or planning to build a startup can join the program to acquire product design/management knowledge and apply it to their startup idea, curate, validate, build, and take early customers through this M.Tech in Product Design and Management program

- The application process will be as per a typical early-stage startup or accelerator process. Applicant must fill an application form consisting of Problem Statement, opportunity, solution, competitive position, market segment, market sizing, and market plan approaches and Founder Profile (background, knowledge on Technology, appreciation of the need for design, interest in entrepreneurship).

Scholarships:
- Stipend subject to distribution of funds from the Government of India
Selection Process:
- Initial screening based on meeting minimum criteria and completion of application forms, and the presence of a complete startup idea
- Application will be reviewed in detail followed by an initial phone conversation with the applicant to validate the forms
- Interview to analyze startup idea, founder's intent, and aptitude towards product entrepreneurship
- Candidates with prior experience in industry interested in establishing a startup, will go through the startup curation process.

This channel is for technology product companies or innovation groups in technology services companies to sponsor their associates or for candidates (based on established eligibility criteria) to self-sponsor themselves for the M.Tech product Design and Management program. "Candidates admitted in this channel may pursue the course concurrently with their work".
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Design / Science or equivalent (4-year program after 10+2 years) of education (or) Master’s degree in Science / Computer Applications (2-year program after 10+2+3 years) of education with a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade
- Mid-level tech professionals from product development, solution development, product delivery, development management, product management, product delivery and architects. With a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience and at least 2 years of intensive technical product or innovation-intensive projects.

Application Process:
- The application form will capture the background of the applicant (technology experience, product experience, experience interacting with customers, and an essay stating the aspirations to do this program) and company profile (background, technology, products, and markets with a case on how the program will help the candidate contribute better to the company).
- Applicants need to submit the company's sponsorship letter (for Industry sponsored candidates) during the application or the admission process.
Selection Process:

Ans:All full-time M.Tech students in Product Design and Management at IIIT-Hyderabad must stay on campus. Separate hostels for men and women are available, with women getting single rooms and men typically sharing doubles (unless single rooms are requested and available). Part-time students (Industry-sponsored) would not be allotted hostels.
